Life on the River

Although there is something to be said about living in the mountains, nestled in the trees, and overlooking the valley, the truth is that a home overlooking a river seems to captivate the soul. Rather it be the placid wide waters of the Teton River, the majestic beauty of the mighty Snake, the boulders in the Fall, or a rustling spring creek, moving water has always entranced the senses of man. One can observe nesting geese and ducks as they await their new arrivals, cranes returning from their sojourns south of the border, blue herons stalking their next meal, or muskrats building a home. The swamp grass and cattails go through their yearly growth cycle as they frame these majestic waterways. And of course, one must always mention the fly fishing which constantly beckons you from your doorstep to challenge the Cutthroat, Rainbow, and Brooke Trout. As you gaze out over the river, you forget your cares, and life seems again to be worth living. As the majestic hills and mountains cast their shadows across the waters and the sun begins to set, something in your heart tells you, there is nothing to compare with Life on the River.
